As per HMRC wording, “people with a disability, chronic or terminal illness” can be VAT exempt. Chronically sick means that you have an illness that is likely to last a long time and disabled means substantially and permanently handicapped by illness or injury.
VAT exemption does not apply to a frail elderly person who is otherwise able-bodied or any person who is temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb.
Items must not be purchased for the general use of other able-bodied persons, they have to be for the own ‘personal and domestic use’ of the disabled individual.
This warm coat is water-resistant, padded and fully lined to give warmth and comfort. The combination of VELCRO® and popper fastenings on the storm flap, make the coat more effortless to fasten. The slippery lining makes it easier to take on and off. It has multiple pockets which can be securely closed, Velcro adjustable cuffs and a fold up hood make this the perfect practical coat. The versatile style is a great investment piece that can be worn all year round turning into a gilet once the detachable sleeves are removed. Length approx: 30" (76cm).

For the correct size for you, please measure your body as follows:
1. Bust: measure yourself around the fullest part
2. Waist: measure around your natural waistline
3. Hips: measure 8" below your natural waistline (this is usually the fullest part)
4. Length: measure the inside of the leg on trousers. For skirts measure from the top of the waistband to the hem. From the centre of shoulder to hem on dresses. We quote the average length.
Alterations Service
Skirts and trouser lengths are available as specified in the product details. If you wish to have trousers or skirts at exactly the length you choose we are able to offer an alteration service. It is £15 per alteration. In addition to length alterations, should you have any specific requirements, we are happy to discuss options to find a solution.
