Here at The Able Label we love designing with prints & patterns and this Summer 2018 collection is no exception. We have some lovely bright stripes & ginghams, pretty paisleys, bold floral, and soft whimsical prints.

We know that not everyone is familiar with wearing this trend so we have put together some tips & ideas to help.

If you are new to prints and patterns and want to ease yourself in gently why not team a patterned skirt with a plain shirt, or vice versa.

Or a quick & easy way to add print & colour to your wardrobe is with accessories, a flash of colour can really elevate an outfit into something special

Scarves are so versatile – use one as a headscarf, run it through belt loops or even tied to your bag, to add real interest to your look.

For the more adventurous print wearer why not try two prints at once or Mix and match stripes & patterns.

Sometimes colours and patterns that you really don't think will work make the most beautiful combinations.

Print can be extremely flattering on all shapes – it’s all about knowing how to make the trend work for you.

If you don’t want to over do it with florals, stick to an item with a larger, simple motif. It will still give a modern nod to the trend without being too twee.

You can be clever with your positioning and use florals to distract from your worry areas.

To help balance wider hips, you can wear:

  • A bolder, larger-patterned top
  • A classic horizontal-striped shirt

If you have a bigger bust highlighting your hips, can balance to appearance.

If you are on the petite and shorter side, large prints can overwhelm your proportions. It’s best to:

  • Stick to smaller patterns and prints, like mini polka dots or gingham
